Prime Minister Maia Sandu called upon all heads of ministries, agencies and services subordinated to the Government to show responsibility in organizing and conducting local elections, to be held on October 20, IPN reports.
She said that any attempt to use administrative resources for electoral purposes would be sanctioned and asked citizens and the media to inform the Government of any attempt in this regard.
On the other hand, Maia Sandu asked the respective structures and the media to inform the citizens about the importance of this election campaign, which in her opinion is "a baccalaureate examination for the current Government".
“People need to know the candidates, their programs, so that they can make the right choice. If we had had a competent mayor, it would not have come to this unbearable smell issue which is back on the Government agenda”, declared Maia Sandu.
