Alexandra Emilianov has won two gold medals at the European Athletics Youth Championships that took place in Tbilisi. Last year, the 16-year-old athlete also won the title of world champion, IPN reports.
In Georgia, Emilianov threw the discus at a distance of 58.09 meters, outrunning significantly the other contenders. She also won gold in the shot put, with the result of 18.50 meters. Alexandra Emilianov is the daughter of Ivan Emilianov, who this summer will represent Moldova at the Olympic Games for the fourth time.
Also, Moldova’s Alexei Oleinic ranked second in javelin throw at the European Athletics Youth Championships, with the result of 74.49 meters.
