Paragraph 4 has been completed}. Not more than 12 election runners will be written in the ballots for the July 29 elections. Eight parties have been registered by the Central Election Commission (CEC) until now. The documents of another four contenders are being checked. The deadline for the submission of documents for being registered as competitors was July 7, 16.00, Info-Prim Neo reports. Tatiana Tambalist, who filed the documents to be registered as independent candidate, withdrew on July 7. The order in which the contenders will be written in ballots was decided by draw. The Communist Party (PCRM) will be the first, the Christian Democratic People’s Party (PPCD) – the second, the Moldova Noastra Alliance (AMN) – the third, the Liberal Party (PL) – the fourth, the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) – the fifth, the Democratic Party (PDM) – the sixth, the National Liberal Party (PNL) – the seventh, and the Social Democratic Party (PSD) – the eighth. The ninth organization that lodged the documents with the CEC is the Social-Political Movement “European Action” (MAE). The Ecologist Party “Green Alliance” and independents Oleg Bolotnivcov and Maia Laguta submitted the documents at the last moment. Under the Election Code, the applicant is registered by the CEC within five days of the day when the documents are accepted. The final list of competitors will be published until July 16. It will be sent to every polling place by the same date. For the first time in Moldova, the parliamentary elections will take place not on Sunday. By presidential decree, the polls were set for July 29, which falls on a Wednesday.
