The Bureau for Relations with the Diaspora suggests instituting patronage over such social services intended for Moldovan children as the professional parent assistance and the family-type children’s home, Info-Prim Neo reports. Some of the associations of the diaspora started to patronize social services for children on their own initiative, the Bureau for Relations with the Diaspora has said. An example is the recent initiative of the associations “Connect Moldova” based in Castelfranco and “Auser” based in Treviso, Italy. They instituted patronage over two assistance services. Some of the parcels with presents already reached families and family-type children’s homes in Moldova. The Bureau for Relations with the Diaspora said the patronage of the parent assistant or the family-type children’s home implies permanent contact with these families so that they are provided with the support they need. The Bureau’s head Victor Lutenko said that this initiative will make many children to feel more protected, while the Moldovans who are abroad will establish one more spiritual connection bridge with the country.
