The signing of the Association Agreement with the European Union is the merit of Vladimir Voronin, considers independent candidate Ion Varanita, who made a number of unordinary assertions in the program “Pahomi” on Realitatea TV channel, IPN reports.

According to Varanita, the current government did nothing else but continued a project initiated in 2005 by the former Communist President Vladimir Voronin. “Voronin is the one who laid the foundations of the European integration. The integration into the EU is the most correct development path for Moldova,” said the candidate.

Asked by the moderator why Vladimir Voronin and his MPs refused to take part in the ratification of the Association Agreement with the EU, Varanita said that the Communist leader always was for the European integration, but he does not agree with some of the provisions of the accord.

Ion Varanita also said that when he enters Parliament, he will make effort for the TV channels owned by the oligarchs to be removed from the media market. “Some have by 3-7 TV channels that propagate only the ideas of their owners. I will plead for the foundation of online TV channels that will present truthful information to the people, while the rating of the channels that tell lies would decrease. Thus, the current TV channels may disappear from the market,” he stated.

Ion Varanita, 31, is from Mingir village of Hancesti district. For several years he worked as manager at an Irish company and then returned to Moldova and started to write books. In his first book “You can also be rich”, the author describes 70 principles used by the richest people in the world, which are the key to a successful and happy life. He is now working on two more books – “Love is right in front of you”, which is dedicated to women and men looking for the ideal partner, and “Easiest way to happiness” that will contain 1,000 answers given by persons older than 70.
