The discussions between the European Union and Moldova on the Association Agenda started on December 19. The agenda is the instrument that will prepare and ensure the implementation of the Association Agreement, including the creation of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area. The sides exchanged opinions on the draft Association Agenda, set the schedule of consultations and agreed that the agenda will be ready by next spring, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, the agenda will include the priorities in the implementation of the Association Agreement, especially as regards the political dialogue, reforms, justice and internal affairs, economic and social development, interhuman contacts and commercial aspects concerning the creating of the Free Trade Area.
After the content of the Association Agenda is approved, there will be adopted a national implementation program, with definite actions and terms for achieving the objectives set for 2014-2016.
The next round of consultations will take place in Chisinau on January 16, 2014.
