Assistance units will be set up in family doctors centers of Chisinau that will provide primary medical care and drinking water to persons who will feel sick because of the high temperatures, IPN reports.
In the June 24 meeting of Chisinau City Hall officials, Health Division head Mihai Moldovanu said the mayor made an order aimed at preventing the impact of heat on the people’s health. The order specifies an operative plan of intervention in case of high temperatures and a number of activities for all the subdivisions of the municipality.
According to Mihai Moldovanu, 83 persons suffering from chronic diseases asked for medical assistance over the last two days following the rise in temperatures.
Last year, a number of tents were put up on a number of streets in Chisinau, where the people were able to drink water and have their blood pressure measured.
