The owners of farmland that is situated beyond the Ribnita – Tiraspol road will receive 7.98 million lei assistance from the Government’s reserve fund. Such a decision was taken by the interim Cabinet in its December 16 meeting. The direct payments will be coordinated by the Dubasari District Council, after examining the applications of the potential beneficiaries, in cooperation with the State Chancellery and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, IPN reports.
The given persons do not have access to their farmland to cultivate it on time owing to the restrictions imposed by the unrecognized Transnistrian authorities. The executive decided to offer the farmers assistance in the amount of 1,229 lei per hectare.
The farmland located beyond the Ribnita – Tiraspol road, which is almost 6,500 ha in area, is owned by 5,500 residents of the villages Cocieri, Cosnita, Dorotcaia, Molovata Noua and Parata of Dubasari district.
