Prime Minister Vlad Filat instructed the managers of governmental institutions to assess how their institutions promote the reforms described in the government program. He reiterated that in parallel with the Government‘s meeting’s, there will be held thematic meetings where assessment reports will be presented and decisions will be taken based on the assessments, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Valeriu Lazar will be the first to present a report on the implementation of the measures contained in the economic recovery and stability program that was approved at the end of the 2009. There will be designed a new plan for the next three years.
The Premier stressed the necessity of improving the system of monitoring how the institutions fulfill their duties. In this connection, he said the monitoring of the import of pharmaceutical products is unsatisfactory as many drugs imported into Moldova have the use-by date expired.
Vlad Filat asked the Ministry of Finance and the State Tax Inspectorate to identify legal solutions so that all the economic entities and private individuals pay the taxes they should. The Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family is to present amendments to the legislation concerning the calculation of the income on the owned land and to examine the possibility of including persons who do not have such incomes into the social assistance system.
The Prime Minister reminded that the duty of the governmental institutions and civil servants is to promote the interests of the people.
