In order to ensure access to information of public interest for journalism purposes, the Public Services Agency (ASP) restored the connections of the media representatives to the ASP state information resources according to the previously concluded contracts, IPN reports.

"At present, any individual or legal entity, including the media institution, has the possibility to access the public data from different information sources, owned by the Agency," says a press release of the institution.

According to the quoted source, ASP provides authorized access to state resources data through „Acces-Web” CIS for 494 legal units: 4490 users, and through the Real Estate Cadastre Central Bank for 7773 users.

Earlier, Dumitru Alaiba, MP of PAS group, ACUM Bloc, asked the Public Services Agency to disclose the reasons for blocking the access to information from the State Register of legal entities. In a personal blog post, Dumitru Alaiba mentions that the decision does not reflect the views of the current Government and can be described as sabotage.
