ASM to coordinate preparation and holding of CIS Intellectuality Forum

The Government entrusted the Academy of Sciences of Moldova (ASM) with the coordination of the activities to prepare and hold the fourth Intellectuality Forum of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), which will take place in Chisinau on September 24 and 25, Info-Prim Neo reports. A sum of 2.53 million lei is needed to organize the forum. 1.53 million lei of this is allocated from the CIS Interstate Humanitarian Cooperation Fund. The rest of the money is provided by the host country. The Academy will use 1 million lei from the budgetary resources allotted to it this year. The forum will be held in Chisinau for the first time. It will have a positive impact on the cooperation between the scientific, educational, cultural and artistic communities of the CIS. It will be attended by well-known writers, scientists and filmmaker, said Ion Guceac, the scientific secretary general of the ASM. The forum will take place in Chisinau as Moldova has held the presidency of the CIS this year.
