Artur Ionita remains in Series A. The Moldovan halfback was signed by Cagliari, which was champion in Series B the previous season, IPN reports.
Ionita, 25, was wanted by several teams this summer, including Napoli. Cagliari, which is trained by Massimo Rastelli, was more insistent and paid €4.5 million for Ionita. Thus, the Moldovan player grown by Zimbru became the most ‘expensive’ player in the history of the Moldovan football. He signed a three-year contract with Cagliari. During the last two years, Ionita played for Hellas, managing to score six goals.
Cagliari, which won Series A in 1970, recently signed fullback Bruno Alves, who competed in Euro 2016 together with the squad of Portugal.
