The ex-aspirant for the office of President Artur Croitor called on the people to combine forces and create a mechanism for monitoring the activities of the future President. Artur Croitor, who is also a leader of the movement “Civic Initiative”, proposed that the activists should unite under the ages is of this movement and monitor how the state is administered.

In a news conference at IPN, Artur Croitor said the people on November 13 will have to make a choice, but none of the candidates inspires confidence and it is highly improbable that these will manage to do the reforms needed by the country. No matter who wins the elections, the future President must first of all deal with the consolidation of the people who have been split for too long. The future President must make effort to destroy the corrupt government system, to build another system and to ensure economic growth.

According to Artur Croitor, the national fiscal system is difficult and improper. Owing to the fiscal burden, the people avoid starting businesses. The levying of taxes from those who have incomes lower than the minimum consumer basket represents ‘genocide’. The Constitution should be fundamentally changed and adjusted to the realities in Moldova, as the other laws should.

Artur Croitor called on the people to offer the President a period of 100 days after the runoff elections for this to be able to think up a plan of action and reforms and to then demand that the Head of State should report what he did.

He also urged the people who want to become involved in civic activities to monitor the government’s actions to write to the email address info@croitor.md or to join the community “Civic Initiative” on Facebook, where all the proposals can be debated.
