Prime Minister Dorin Recean said that artificial intelligence helps governments and the executive he leads is looking for solutions to use artificial intelligence for a better and more transparent monitoring of government procurement. The same goes for the use of data, including open data for public policy. The statements were made at the conference “Artificial Intelligence & Big Data”, which takes place on April 18-19 in Chisinau, IPN reports.

“Artificial intelligence can help us grow the economy, increase added value and here is the invitation to industry, to experts to offer these solutions with which to increase productivity, added value and, last but not least, for each of us, as citizens, as members of society, to have a benefit,” noted Dorin Recean.

According to the official, artificial intelligence can help the authorities to target public policies, where they maximize their outcome. “Artificial intelligence is also something the world fears. But at the same time, we can use artificial intelligence to improve security, to increase the chances of peace. Likewise, artificial intelligence can be used to ensure cybersecurity. It can help us, the citizens, the business community, to increase efficiency. We urge the participants to find as many applicative solutions as possible for the citizens, for the business community and for governance,” said Premier Recean.

The conference “Artificial Intelligence & Big Data” brought together experts, business leaders, representatives of the education sector and public authorities from the Republic of Moldova, Romania, Serbia, Ukraine, with a common goal of harnessing the power of technology to improve the quality of life and encourage the development of Eastern European countries.
