An artificial fir tree will be placed in the Great National Assembly Square of Chisinau for the winter holidays this year. Such a decision was taken by the Chisinau City Hall after conducting a poll through a social networking site, IPN reports.
Head of the City Hall’s Public Relations Division Vadim Brânzaniuc said that a number of options will be considered in the course of this week. Among these is a business entity’s proposal to donate an artificial fir tree to the municipality. This formulated such an offer last year as well. Details about the fir tree cannot be provided for now, but this will be 16-20 meters in height.
A sum of 200,000 lei was earmarked in the municipal budget for purchasing and decorating the main Christmas tree of the country.
