The Italian state is very careful about the administration of the country’s cultural heritage. Recently, several archaeological sites such as Pompeii have been restored and ticket prices for visitors have been reduced, with foreigners enjoying facilities, Italian businessman Piero Leone told IPN in an interview.

Asked to make an itinerary for those who want to visit Italy, Piero Leone said: “The first place is Naples, because it is very similar to Moldova. Then Rome, the eternal city, with tens of thousands of tourist attractions that can be visited: the Colosseum, the Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, the Trinità dei Monti, the Foro Italico, the Baths of Caracalla. Then you must go to Tuscany, especially Florence, Pisa, Siena. Also, the coastal islands – Capri, Ischia, Elba. To the north, we have the mountain area, with ski slopes and culinary traditions. You would need 15 days, not less, but with a knowledgeable person as a guide”.

An engineer by training and formerly a marine boatbuilder, Piero Leone is a trader interested in agricultural products from Moldova. See the interview with Piero Leone here.
