Appointment of Teleradio senior executives postponed again

All the candidates for the office of director of the “Teleradio-Moldova” Company and managers of the national TV and radio stations will be re-interviewed by the members of the Supervisory Board (SB). This decision was taken by SB at its yesterday’s meeting. SB members found that a number of the competition requirements were not met, including the fact that the applicants’ CVs and their proposed conceptions of company development were not made public. The candidates will be re-interviewed on April 10, at 9.00am. The contest for the three positions was held from February 23 to March 23. The candidates were interviewed on March 27, and the appointment was expected to be made by voting the following day. But the voting was cancelled after a number of SB members and candidates had claimed breaches of the Audiovisual Code as regards the competition requirements 11 persons applied for the Company Director, 6 for the manager of the national TV station, and 5 for the manager of the radio station, with one applicant subsequently withdrawing from competition.
