Applications for First House can be filed from Monday

The applications within the municipal program First House can be submitted to district heads' offices of Chisinau from Monday, October 4, Info-Prim Neo reports. Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca said the program is open to residents of Chisinau and inhabitants of other settlements who work in the municipality. The applicants must file an application asking to be included in the program, the copy of the identity card, the copy of the birth certificate (of the members of the family and maintained persons), the copy of the marriage certificate (if necessary), the copy of the divorce certificate (if necessary), documents showing the applicant maintains persons, an income certificate from the workplace, copies of the diplomas, etc. The files will be examined by a group of experts at every district head's office and then will be verified by a municipal working group. Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca said there is no deadline for submissions. According to him, the works to lay the foundations of the first house within the project, on Ghioceilor St, will begin the coming days. According to the Municipal Constructions Division, the cost of a square meter in half-finished apartments will be €300 – 400, while in ready apartments – €400 - 500. The one-room apartments will be up to 40 square meters in area, the two-room apartments – up to 60 square meters, while the three-room ones – up to 80 square meters. The applicants for apartments will be able to raise loans from two banks. The loans will be repayable in 10 to 30 years, at an interest rate of 9%. The main condition is that the monthly incomes should be minimum 4,000 lei. About 400 apartments will be build in the block on Ghioceilor St in Buiucani district on an area of 0.4 hectares.
