It wasn't the industrial park Tracom that was put up for privatization, but the nine companies that it accommodates, explained Tudor Copaci, the director of the Economy Ministry's Agency for Public Property (APP). Six of the nine companies – Presudor, MaPasAuto, Reupies, Aralit, Radiator and DotarCom, where the government owned 66% to 90% of shares – were privatized by Chisinau-based companies for a total of 28.63 million lei. The new owners pledged to invest 60.75 million lei over a period of three years and keep the bought companies in the industrial park Tracom. The land on which these companies are located covers an area of 10 hectares out of 32 hectares allotted to the park. The land was not privatized. The government stocks in three other companies – FojaCom, Zidarul-SV and Bicotra SA – will again come under the hammer at the Moldova Exchange Stock on June 26-29. Ex-Defense Minister and former Democratic Party Secretary Vitalie Vrabie was appointed administrator of the industrial park Tracom.
