API General Meeting elected organization’s management

Chişinău 13.04.06 Info-Prim Neo /oxa/ The manager of the newspaper „Cuvantul liber” from Leova, Ion Mititelu, was elected as chairman of Independent Press Association (API). Mititelu was appointed in this position by the Annual General Meeting of API members, held on Thursday, 13 April in Chisinau. According to organization’s report, Tudor Iascenco, manager of the magazine “Cuvantul” from Rezina was elected as API vice-chairman. Besides, the Meeting elected the new composition of the Administration Council. The Meeting also approved adhesion application to API of the national period „Ziarul de Garda”. Now, API has 22 active members, representing 17 local and national newspapers and magazines, in Romanian and Russian, of both banks of river Dniestre, 2 news agencies, a media organization and two free professional reporters.
