Apartment prices fell 4% in February

Apartment prices last month decreased by 4%. Usually, the most expensive houses are those located in Centru district of Chisinau. The one-room apartments sold for 35,000-38,000 euros, the two-room apartments – for 43,000-47,000 euros, while the three-room apartments – for 46,000-54,000 euros. “The prices fell exclusively due to the low demand. The supply in February was higher compared with the previous months, but the demand remained low,” Vlad Musteata, expert of the Realty Agency “Lara”, has told Info-Prim Neo. The one-room apartments in Rascani district were sold for 29,000-33,000 euros, while in Botanica district – for 30,000-34,500 euros. The three-room apartments in the same districts cost 41,000-51,500 euros. The number of apartment sales in Chisinau in 2008 dropped by 60% from a year earlier, according to the Agency for Land Relations and Cadastre. The sales of apartments in new, finished buildings fell by 60-65%, while in blocks under construction were stopped.
