Apa-Canal invites people to see how river water finds its way to Chisinau's faucets

Chisinau's water supplier Apa-Canal (ACC) invites consumers to take a tour of its main facilities to observe all the stages that makes Nistru's water clean and safe to drink. The first persons to get the tour were 21 students of the Chisinau-based Ecology College, who visited Thursday the pumping facilities, the water treatment stations in Vadul lui Voda and Balabanesti, and even the ACC headquarters. “Our intention is to familiarize the general public with the key factors that we take into account in calculating water rates. We also want to show people the challenges we encounter in providing the city with potable water”, the advisor to ACC director, Grigore Prisacaru, told the students. Another group of visitors, students at Petru Rares High in Chisinau, is expected to tour ACC facilities on Friday.
