SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau” warns the population to be prudent. It became known that a group of men recently posed as employees of the company and asked money from consumers for dealing with an accident. It happened at an address on Vasile Alecsandri St in Chisinau, IPN reports.
In a press release, the company said a consumer informed that the valve of the common meter installed in the basement broke down in the evening of April 18. To fix the problem, dwellers called a team of specialists on the phone numbers indicated on the poster with announcements from near the stair of the block. The persons who answered the phone said they were employees of the company and asked for 150 lei for remedying the problem. When on the spot in several hours of the accident, these asked for 500 lei. Moreover, they were inebriated. They finally left without doing something.
Immediately after the administration of “Apa-Canal Chisinau” was informed about this case, specialists travelled to the scene and repaired the damaged valve. The water supplier considers this incident is a direct attack on the company’s image and expresses its regret at the inconvenience caused to consumers. Moreover, it warns the consumers to be vigilant and to ask for a permit from employees or they should inform the water supplier or the police or at least take pictures of those who pose as employees of the company.
SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau” noted that the services to repair water and sewer pipes are free. If need be, the customers can call the central dispatcher’s service on 022-25-66-66 nonstop or can send a message to acc@acc.md or leave one on the company’s official Facebook page.
