The water supplier “Apa-Canal Chisinau” SA on June 14 begins the works to rehabilitate the water pipes on the section of the Chisinau street Bucuresti between A. Pushkin St and Mitropolit G. Banulescu-Bodoni St. The section will be closed to traffic, IPN reports.
In a press release, the company says works are now executed in the perter of the streets I. Pruncul, Sf. Andrei and Sfatul Tarii. On Pruncul St, there were installed about 90 meters of sewer pipes with the dimeter of 400 mm and three manholes. The works started on May 21.
The contract for the rehabilitation of 7 km of sewer pipes to the value of over €1 million is implemented by “Comalion LCA” SRL, whose bid emerged victorious in a tender contest.
The contract forms part of the €61.8m program to develop the water supply services in Chisinau municipality that is financed with the loans raised by “Apa-Canal Chisinau” from the EBRD and EIB and with the investment grant provided by the EU through the Neighborhood Investment Facility.
