SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau” on May 21 will launch the works to rehabilitate 7 km of sewer pipes in Chisinau. By the end of this summer, the water supplier plans to modernize 13 pipe sections in the urban area and mains in the central part of Chisinau municipality, with the diameter of 110 mm to 500 mm, IPN reports, with reference to a press release of the company.
The works will start on the section of Sfatul Tarii St between the streets Alexandru cel Bun and Sf. Andrei and Anton Corobceanu and Bucuresti. On June 6, the works will begin on the section of Bucuresti St between the streets A. Pushkin and Mitropolit G. Banulescu-Bodoni.
The contract, to the value of over €1 million, will be implemented by the company “Comalion LCA” that won the international tender contest. The contract forms part of the program to develop the water supply services in Chisinau municipality that is financed with the loan of €61.8m raised by “Apa-Canal Chisinau” from the EBRD and EIB and with the investment grant provided by the EU through the Neighborhood Investment Facility.
