The water supplier “Apă-Canal Chisinau” in a press release said it rehabilitated over 1 km of sewer pipes of the about 7 km that are to be repaired as part of the project financed with loans from the EBRD and EIB and with a EU grant, IPN reports.
Almost 500 meters of sewer pipes with the diameter of 400 mm and 135 mm were laid in the perimeter of the streets Ion Pruncul, Sfântul Andrei and Sfatul Ţării. The works on București St and the section of Sfatul Țării St between the streets Anton Corobceanu and Schusev were completed.
At the next stage, there will be rehabilitated about 1.1 km of polyethylene water pipes with the diameter of 25 mm and 250 mm and 650 m of water mains that supply water to apartment buildings on the streets Albișoara and Ismail.
Water pipes and mains will be replaced on a section of 520 meters on Gheorghe Asachi St. The new network will consist of ductile cats iron and polyethylene pipes. The works include the complete renovation of all the water pipes that haven’t been modernized for over ten years and are worn-out.
