The municipal enterprise Apă-Canal Chișinău was reconnected to the power supply, said the mayor of Chisinau Ion Ceban, who noted that this became possible following discussions with the administration of Premier Energy, IPN reports.
“Together with my mates, after a number of long meetings, we identified a constructive and legal solution we proposed in the meeting held this evening. A pause was taken until Tuesday and we will then resume discussions,” stated the mayor.
The municipality on Thursday announced that the central block of “Apă-Canal Chișinău”, where there are all the command points, was disconnected from the electricity supply. For its part, Premier Energy said that two consumption points were disconnected but these were in the administrative block only. The supplier argued it had to resort to such a move in order to prevent the accumulation of new debts that now total 68.6 million lei.
