Vitalie Midari, acting technical director on production at SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau”, said it is for the first time that the company experienced a bomb scare. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, the director said that he does not know who may want to disrupt the company’s activity.
In accordance with the instructions, all the employees were evacuated immediately from the building. They will return to work only after the building is examined thoroughly. “We will sustain losses, but not direct. A workday was lost,” said Vitalie Midari.
General Police Commissar spokesman Adrian Jovmir said that all the offices in the building are being searched. No explosive device has been found by the time the news story was published.
An unidentified man has called the police this morning and informed that a bomb was put in the head office of Apa-Canal Chisinau.
Under the legislation, the penalty for false bomb threats is 4,000 to 10,000 lei, 180 to 240 hours of community service, or up to two years’ imprisonment.
This is the first bomb scare this year so far.
