Employees of the water supplier “Apa-Canal Chisinau”, at the request of dwellers, carried out checks in an apartment building situated at 5 Chimistilor St. They discovered 434 m3 of water consumed in February and March that haven’t been declared in one apartment and also undeclared volumes of 18 m3 and, respectively, 20 m3 in another two apartments. The given consumers will be issued with bills, IPN reports.
According to the company, the block is managed by the Durlesti Public Amenities Division. The water and sewerage services are invoiced by IM “Infocom” based on meter readings presented by consumers.
Under the contract clauses, the block manager is responsible for the good administration of the building, but this didn’t cooperate with specialists of “Apa-Canal Chisinau” and didn’t take part in the inspections in apartments. Consequently, the company’s employees had access to only 12 of the 36 apartments of the block.
As a result of the checks, it was established that an apartment was illegally connected to the water supply and sewerage system and a large volume of consumed water wasn’t thus invoiced.
