The administration of SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau” calls upon the end-users to inform about the cases of thefts of water they know by sending a letter to the email address (acc@acc.md) or by calling 022-256-789 or 022-256-890. The supplier’s request comes as a result of multiple irregularities identified during inspections carried out by specialists of the company, IPN reports.
In a communiqué, the public water utility says that almost 400 reports on administrative offenses have been drawn up this year. There were imposed fines to the value of 146,000 lei.
The illegal connections to the water supply and sewerage networks are among the most often irregularities. A number of 53 reports were compiled over such violations, 46 of which were already examined. As a result, the administrative commission imposed fines of 76,000 lei.
The supplier warns that the end-users who do not pay the fines on time will also have to pay the services provided by the bailiff. Criminal cases will be started against the persons who will be caught stealing or trying to steal water, besides fines.
