The public utility “Apa-Canal Chisinau” has bought 30 units of transport within an international tender contest, IPN reports.
In a press release, the company says the 30 units of transport include 11 motor vehicles with double cab for teams that deal with faults in water supply and sewerage networks, 10 motor vehicles with double cab for teams that clean sewer pipes, two trucks for leakage detection teams, a truck with manipulating gear for transporting materials and six trailers for transporting mini-excavators.
According to the water supplier, the new machinery will help increase the company’s operational efficiency by reducing intervention time and costs. All the vehicles have Diesel engines and meet the EURO 5 norms. The company’s employees were already trained how to operate the modern machines and these will start to be used this month.
Six mini-excavators and seven bulldozer-excavators, specialized equipment for inspecting pipes and cleaning sewer pipes were delivered within the Priority Investment Program financed by the EBRD and EIB.
