The Political Party “Antimafie” People’s Movement, which runs in the parliamentary elections only in the national constituency, entered the election campaign on January 28. The party’s representatives said they will continue to fight the mafia, as they have done since 2010, IPN reports.

The Movement’s leader Sergiu Mocanu told a news conference that he didn’t want this election campaign, which is without a stake, because the leader of the PDM Vlad Plahotniuc rigged the elections long before the start of the election campaign, by replacing the electoral system. The single-member constituencies are a diversion against the  Republic of Moldova and the Movement “Antimafie” already announced that it will not take part in the political casino of Plahotniuc.

The party runs in the elections under the slogan “It’s time to say NO!”. “We consider the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, those who have discernment and those who followed the activity of the People’s Movement “Antimafie”,  should now say NO to this system of clans in the Republic of Moldova. We consider Plahotniuc grew up in an area that was very favorable for such mafia clans. We think Plahotniuc’s clan is not the only one in the Republic of Moldova and a lot of those who are in opposition to this actually aim to defeat this clan so as to replace it in power. We fight the mafia of all colors,” stated Sergiu Mocanu.

“We joined this campaign because where “Antimafie” is not present, there is nothing, if only the perpetuation of the regime of Plahotniuc with Dodon and with the branches of Filat as “Antimafie” is the only unionist party that makes effort to redefine the right by creating an intellectual platform based on virtues and Western values,” said the party’s first deputy head Daniela Bodrug.

According to her, “Antimafie” appeared as a defense reaction and out of the need to respond to a threat to the Romanian and European course of the Republic of Moldova witnessed since 2010. “It’s time to say NO to the uninitiated persons and parvenus in politics. “ Antimafie” is a political catalyst for the reality in the Republic of Moldova. It is the only party that can clarify the political situation and come up with solutions to the moments of crisis,” stated Daniela Bodrug.

According to the preliminary order, the Political Party “Antimafie” People’s Movement will be under No. 6 on the ballot. The party was registered on January 10 and its list of candidates for MP in the national constituency consists of 32 persons.
