The Antimafia movement is against declaring itself against the visit of the Romanian Premier Victor Ponta to Chisinau. Members of the movement will join other protesters in front of the Government building, to show the Romanian PM that they disagree with his attempts to overthrow Romanian President Traian Basescu, reports Info-Prim Neo. Antimafia leader Sergiu Mocanu stated in a press conference on Monday that he wrote a request to the Party of Liberals to stop Victor Ponta’s visit to Chisinau. However, says Sergiu Mocanu, the PL did not react in any way. Sergiu Mocanu claims that the agreements to be signed are just a cover, whereas the real goal of Ponta’s visit is to show that he was acknowledged by the neighbor state. “Antimafia members will be there, along with all other protesters. We will oppose and attack Ponta’s visit, by all means. We stand together with our Romanian co-citizens, and will protest the attempt to overthrow Traian Basescu”, said Sergiu Mocanu. The leader of Antimafia added that PL president Mihai Ghimpu is a sentimental crook, since he did not comment in any way the suspension of Traian Basescu, although the latter supported Ghimpu on numerous occasions. Sergiu Mocanu believes that Mihai Ghimpu, through his noisy bill on the condemning of the totalitarian communist regime, tried to take public focus away from last year’s raider attacks, which are attributed to Parliament Vice-Speaker Vladimir Plahotniuc. According to Mocanu, Moldova should be under Code Red of raider attacks, which are to happen soon. He specifically referred to the “Moldtelecom” enterprise, which, according to him, was drowned in debt for easier takeover. The Antimafia leader added that Moldova should not interfere in Romania’s race for power, and should cancel Victor Ponta’s visit. Romanian PM Victor Ponta will be on an official visit to Moldova tomorrow, July 17, during which several agreements are to be signed, including one concerning the building of the Ungheni-Iasi gas main.
