Fifteen persons lost the battle with COVID-19 on August 25, taking the death toll in Moldova to 960, IPN reports, quoting the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection.
The victims include five women aged between 63 and 77 and ten men aged between 52 and 84. Most of those who succumbed to the disease are from the municipality of Chisinau.
As many as 549 hospitalized patients are in a serious state and 32 of them were put on a ventilator.
A number of 2,685 tests were done today and 530 samples tested positive for COVID-19. The number of infections in Moldova totals 34,300. Over 9,500 are active cases.
