The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) is implementing the CSE decision regarding the connection of settlements in the Security Zone to electricity and natural gas networks.
Thus, ANRE has approved modifications to the development and investment plans of the distribution system operators from the S.A. "Moldovagaz" group and Î.C.S. "Premier Energy Distribution".
The approved modifications involve the expansion of natural gas networks, the construction of 64 km of gas distribution networks, including two underwater crossings of the Dniester River, and the connection of 14 settlements, which have 11,879 consumers.
According to ANRE, the localities affected are Farladeni, Hagimus, Copanca, Hirbovat Pohrebea, Cosnita, Pirita, Dorotcaia, Molovata Noua, Varnita, Cocieri, Vasilievca, Corjova, and Roghi.
As for the modernization of the electrical infrastructure, 9 km of medium-voltage networks will be developed to ensure power supply to 3,688 consumers in the villages of Varnița and Copanca. A 4.8 km underground line and a 3.1 km overhead line will be built to Varnita, and the overhead network will be extended by 1 km towards Copanca.
Additionally, a 10/6 kV connection transformer will be installed to increase the reliability of the electricity supply.
The beneficiaries will be 15 public institutions and 123 businesses in these localities.
The work will begin with the design, geodesy, and hydrology phase, followed by construction and connection works, as the source notes.
