ANRE to announce official position on Moldovagaz’s request Tuesday

The National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) on September 27 will continue the public debates over SA Moldovagaz’s request to adjust the natural gas tariffs, Info-Prim Neo reports In the meeting, the Agency’s administration will announce its official position on the issue after it analyzed the calculations presented by SA Moldovagaz. The meeting will involve representatives of state institutions, employers, trade unions, consumer protection associations and nongovernmental organizations. SA Moldovagaz demanded setting an average gas tariff for ends-users for the fourth quarter of this year at 5 922 lei per 1 000 cubic meters, up 28.76% compared with the current charge. The main reason invoked by the company is the rise in the import price of Russian gas, which will cost US$400.47 per 1 000 cubic meters from October 1.
