Consumers who want to obtain information of public interest or to submit a petition to the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) can do so directly on the institution's website by filling in from an Internet-connected device the information request or the petition form. This is just one of the possibilities allowed by the new version of the site www.anre.md launched today, August 11, IPN reports.

According to a press release of ANRE, the improved version of the site was launched on the occasion of ANRE's 17th anniversary. The institution's director, Sergiu Ciobanu, said that by upgrading its web page, the Agency wants to provide more transparency regarding its activity, to involve interested parties in the decision-making process and to improve the people's access to information of public interest in the energy field.

In order to meet the people's expectations, the new site has a new section – the Consumer's Page – which contains detailed information about their rights and obligations, as well as those of providers and network operators, about the way to sign contracts and connect to the network, practical tips and F.A.Q.

The new site has 12 sections, each containing sub-sections covering the diversity of ANRE activities and developments on the energy market.
