The National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) issued a new license valid for a six-month period to the Cuchurgan power plant (CERS Moldoveneasca) as its old license expired, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Agency.
The license was issued in accordance with the Government's Decision on the regularization of the flows of goods imported and exported by Transnistria, which allows the local economic entities that registered with the Moldovan authorities on a temporary basis to obtain licenses for licensed activities.
In 2009, the ANRE issued two similar licenses to the Cuchurgan power plant. It also granted two licenses for supplying electric power at non-regulated tariffs and 33 licenses for importing and selling oil products.
Nineteen economic entities holding 22 licenses work on the electric power market at present. Twenty-nine companies that hold 55 licenses operate on the natural gas market, while163 companies – on the oil products market. Together, they have 844 licenses.
Under the legislation, the ANRE issues licenses valid for 25 years for working on the electric power and natural gas markets and licenses valid for five years for operating on the oil market. The license fee is paid into the state budget.
