The director general of the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) Victor Parlicov was removed from post by a majority of votes of MP, IPN reports.

Head of the Parliament’s commission on appointments and immunities Raisa Apolschii said the decision to dismiss the ANRE director general was drafted following an application from the Rascani Probation Office, concerning the implementation of the Buiucani Court’s decision of March 2014, by which Victor Parlicov is banned from holding public posts for a period of a year.

The penalty was imposed on him after the Security and Information Service established that Victor Parlicov didn’t correctly organize work with the secret documents at the institution. Earlier, Victor Parlicov said this court decision represents political settling of an account as last July Parliament failed to discharge him.

The director general of the ANRE was dismissed from post by a majority of votes on July 12, 2013. But in September the court invalidated the decision and Victor Parlicov was reinstated in his post.
