Another victim of the accident that happened in Ungheni on August 9, died in the hospital, yesterday evening. The 57-year-old woman had been taken to the reanimation section, in a very bad state, reports Info-Prim Neo. The information has been confirmed by Ungheni District Hospital director Lidia Craciun, who refused to give any additional details, saying the information was confidential. Representatives from the Ministry of Healthcare stated that they would later present details on the states of all of the crash victims who are still hospitalized. Source from the Morenii Noi Mayor’s Office, from the deceased woman’s home place, told Info-Prim Neo that the woman had recently retired. On the day of the accident she had gone to the Ungheni market, but unfortunately hadn’t returned. Five days after the crash, her heart stopped beating. She left behind a husband, four sons, and grandchildren. The accident happened on Thursday, August 9, near Moreni (Ungheni district). The Mercedes-Benz bus, which was serving the Morenii Noi – Ungheni route, did not enter a curve correctly, thus drifting off the highway and into a ravine. The death toll rises to 12 people, including 2 minors. Experts from the Ministry of Interior have determined that the bus had a defect front right brake. The driver also died in the crash.
