Another suspect of theft from cars identified by police

A 29-years old resident of Chisinau is suspected of being involved in more than 10 cases of theft from cars, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, during the search at the suspect’s house, the inspectors discovered an imposing number of vehicle parts and accessories. A criminal case was initiated against the suspected wrongdoer. If found guilty, the man risks to be fined with 6 to 40 thousand lei, or to operate 180 to 240 hours of non-paid work in the benefit of the community or be sentenced to 2 up to 7 years of imprisonment. Since the beginning of 2008, 7 groups of persons specialized in committing theft from vehicles were identified. Most of the offenders are young men aged between 14 and 27.
