Four more independent candidates were registered Friday by the Central Election Commission (CEC) as participants in the race for the November 28 early parliamentary elections, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“I serve the Moldovan people and it seems to me I’m the only one in this country,” said independent candidate Maia Laguta, the head of the NGO “Salvgardare”. She stated that Moldova was robbed, while society was divided into millionaires, who are a small group, and the poor, who are a majority. Asked if she was sure to enter Parliament, Maia Laguta said one should fight and explain the people who must make the law.
Another independent candidate registered with the CEC on Friday, Gheorghe Russu is 72 and is a doctor by profession. Evgheni Nazarenko, 28, also wants to become an independent MP. He has incomplete higher education and is temporarily unemployed. In 2006, Nazarenko was a member of the Youth Organization of the Communists Party.
The forth independent registered, Tatiana Tambalist is the mayor of Alava village of Stefan Voda district. She is 50.
So far, the CEC has registered 27 election contenders for the November 28 early legislative elections. Twenty parties and 20 independents have filed the necessary documents by the October 28 deadline. The CEC takes a decision whether to register the candidates and parties or not within seven days.
