The Cabinet, convoked on December 21, assumed responsibility before Parliament for a bill by which the assistance provided on the occasion of the winter public holydays is extended to cover another 60,000 people. It is about the 600 lei paid to pensioners with pensions lower than 2,000 lei.
“A number of 540,000 people already received this aid. The positive dynamics of the amounts collected into the state budget, the stable economy and the forecasts for 2019 enable us to extend the list of beneficiaries of such aid,” stated Prime Minister Pavel Filip.
During the next two weeks, 600 lei in financial assistance will be provided to persons who receive disability allowances (all types), persons who reached retirement, but receive only allowance because they do not have the required length of service and people who get allowances for losing the maintainer.
