As many as 364 persons were diagnosed with the novel coronavirus in Moldova on June 24. Of the new infections, 42 are in the health personnel of 30 health facilities, IPN quoted secretary of state at the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection Konstantin Rymish as saying in a press briefing.
A total of 1,988 tests were done today and 1,547 of these were primary ones, while 441 were rerun ones.
Five persons died because of COVID-19, taking the death toll to 495.
As many as 416 infected persons are in a serious state and 23 of them were put on a ventilator.
A number of 188 persons got cured of COVID-19 and were discharged from the hospital today. The number of persons who recovered by now stands at 8,400.
The infections with COVID-19 in Moldova now total 15,078, with 6,183 of these being active cases.
