The National Employment Agency (ANOFM) has received IT equipment to support the integration of Ukrainian refugees into the Moldovan labor market. According to the Mission of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) to Moldova, the donated equipment, valued at $38,000, aims to increase the operational capacities of ANOFM to respond to the needs of the community, to support and integrate Ukrainian refugees into the labor market in Moldova.
ANOFM director Raisa Dogaru met today with IOM Mission to Moldova head Lars Johan Lönnback to formalize the donation of IT equipment for 26 ANOFM territorial subdivisions throughout the country.
“For many years, the National Employment Agency has had a strong partnership with IOM Moldova. This generous donation will allow our agency to work more effectively on the integration of Ukrainian refugees into our labor market”, said ANOFM director Raisa Dogaru.
“Since the escalation of the conflict in Ukraine, IOM has been involved in the socio-economic inclusion of Ukrainian refugees. The National Agency for Employment is essential in this regard, including through the activity it carries out within the framework of the RESTART reform. I want to express our thanks for the collaboration and partnership between the IOM Moldova and the National Agency for Employment, as well as thanks to the Government of the United States of America for the generous financial support of today’s donation”, said Lars Johan Lönnback for his part.
The donation was made possible thanks to the Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration (PRM) of the US State Department as part of the “2023 Ukraine Response to Support Refugees from Ukraine across Europe” Project.
