Annual conference “Cooperation between Parliament and civil society”

Representatives of the Government and Parliament, ambassadors, members of civil society and international experts will come together for the sixth annual conference “Cooperation between Parliament and civil society” that will take place in Chisinau on April 7. The event is staged by Moldova’s Parliament in concert with the National NGO Council and with the support of the development partners, IPN reports.

According to the event’s agenda, the discussions will be held within two sessions. The first session will include the presentation of reports on the implementation of the 2012-2015 Civil Society Development Strategy by representatives of the State Chancellery and of civil society. The second session will consist of discussions on the theme “Partnerships for sustainable civil society in the Republic of Moldova”.

The conference takes place at the Palace of the Republic, starting at 10am. Among the invitees to the debates are the Head of the EU Delegation to Moldova Pirkka Tapiola, U.S. Ambassador James D. Pettit, Ambassador of Sweden Ingrid Tersman, Ambassador of the UK Philip Batson, Ambassador of Romania Marius Lazurca, and UN Resident Coordinator Dafina Gercheva.
