Former halfback of the national football team of Moldova Valeriu Andronic scored two goals for Khujand, which ranks fifth in Tajikistan. One of the goals was chosen as the best in the current championship by the local media, IPN reports.

The goal was scored to champion Ravshan from outside the field square. Andronic also scored a spectacular goal to vice champion Istiqlol. The 30-year-old halfback scored with a free kick from about 25 meters.

Former top scorer of the National Division Oleg Andronic also played for Khujand this season. He scored a goal to Vakhsh.

The cousins Andronic said they may continue their career in Tajikistan. “The salaries at Khujand are higher than in most of the teams of the National Division. We can extend the contract that expired recently,” Valeriu Andronic, who scored four goals for the national team of Moldova, has told IPN.

The halfback also played for Dinamo Bucharest, MTK Budapesta, Metalist Harkov, Baltika Kaliningrad, Lokomotiv Astana and SKA-Energia Habarovsk.
