The discussions about Moldova’s oscillation between the East and the West are useless and out-of-date and no one from the opposition should have illusions about the change of the country’s European course because there is no better model for the development of the Republic of Moldova than the one offered by the EU, Speaker of Parliament Andrian Candu stated in the opening of the annul forum of debates on the European integration of the Republic of Moldova, IPN reports, quoting the legislature’s press service.

“If I make radiography, I ascertain that a massive mobilization was relatively achieved during the first six months of work of the new Government, which was trusted not much by many. This imprinted a dynamic character to the implementation of the Association Agreement. The fact that we managed to mobilize the institutions affected by the political, financial and confidence crises amid these is yet the most important,” stated the Speaker.

Andrian Candu assured that the implementation of the Association Agreement remains a priority for Parliament. He referred to the legislature’s priorities for the immediate period, including the restoration of cooperation relations with the IMF and signing of a new country program, rehabilitation and consolidation of the financial-banking sector, ensuring of energy security, the effective reform of the justice sector and monitoring of the efficient implementation of the laws adopted by Parliament.

The annul forum of debates on the European integration of the Republic of Moldova is a platform for discussions centering on the challenges faced by Moldova on the path of European integration and in implementing the Association Agreement.
