Andrian Candu on October 17 announced that he will continue to hold the post of Minister of Economy during the election campaign so as to be able to fulfill the obligations to the population before the cold season. Afterward, he will join the team of the Democracy Party as a candidate on the party’s list, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué of the Ministry of Economy.
“Institutional strengthening is necessary at the Ministry. The winter is approaching and we must make sure that the people are supplied with heat. I take into consideration the situation in economy and in the trade with other countries, the diversification of markets and the assistance we must provide,” stated Andrian Candu.
He noted that as a result of a discussion with the administration of the Democracy Party, he decided to ask the party to be temporarily withdrawn from the list of candidates so as to be able to complete a number of projects at the Ministry and will afterward ask to be re-included in the list so as to be near the team in the election campaign.
