Andrei Spînu named secretary general of presidential administration

The former secretary general of the Sandu Government Andrei Spînu will serve as secretary general of the presidential administration, while Cristina Botnariuc will keep the post of deputy secretary general to which she was named in 2019, IPN reports.

According to the information published on the presidential administration’s website, the President’s staff will consist of seven advisers. Olesea Stamate is the President’s adviser on justice, Veaceslav Negruța - on the economy, Ala Nemerenco – on health, Liliana Nicolaescu-Onofrei – on education, Angela Erizanu – on culture, Sergiu Tofilat – on energy, while Elena Druță – on relations with the diaspora.

Natalia Ipati will head the Foreign Relations and Communication Division, while Viorica Sturza will manage the Protocol and Communication Section.

Aliona Prisăcaru will hold the post of head of the Legal Division, while Andrei Onofrei will manage the Service of the Supreme Security Council.

Maia Sandu took up her duties as President of the Republic of Moldova on December 24.
